Crispy Kangkong or Spinach


Ingredients:
2 bunches kangkong or spinach leaves, washed
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
salt to taste
oil for deep frying

Procedure:
  1. Mix flour, cornstarch, ground pepper, onion powder, and salt in a big bowl and dissolve in cold water to make a thick batter.
  2. Coat each leaf with the batter and fry until crispy. Serve with dipping sauce.
Dipping Sauce:
5 tablespoons low fat mayonnaise
1 tbspn vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
To make the dipping sauce, just mix all ingredients together.
